This blog will consist of my art assignments for my art appreciation class. It will be the beginning of my new art blog as I explore and learn more about Art. It will also feature pieces that appeal to me aesthetically.
I like photography and videography as forms of art. They are my two favorites because they are the easiest to understand of the visual arts. I adore make up as visual art and hair and fashion as well. Since, fashion design is my major, it's amazing seeing how designers and stylists bring together their visions creative into fabric and create masterpieces. I also find live art extremely interesting. I really like afrofuturism in art. It's my favorite "ism" of art. I love dance and music as forms of art. Dance is one of my favorite expressions of arts. I think my all time favorite art is digital art and portraits.
I personally don't like sculptures and paintings, that are made in mainstream aesthetics. I don't really understand them. It's easier for me to understand afro-centered paintings and art in general because I relate to it though. I hope that this class helps me to become more open-minded about other art in the same way.
